There are great things happening at the Crow Hill Company in Edinburgh, and it is a lot more than selling (great) sample instruments. The new HQ is being turned in to a kind of creative factory – a musical playground, a venue, a film set, a place for workshops and education, a place for getting in to a glorious sonic mess. On a visit there with my trombone, Christian Henson paused the recording sessions so we could take a step back and talk about some of the unique, lovely and profane things the old “shagbush” can do.
